How to Install
1. Unbox & power up — Lift Claus out, open the battery door on his back, drop in 3 AA batteries (not included), snap it shut.
2. Choose where to hang — Door frame, mantel, banister, bookshelf or wall hook — anywhere with about 3 ft of clear space below him.
3. Hang the hook — Press the included adhesive hook to a clean, dry surface, give it 30 seconds to grab, then loop the bead chain over it.
4. Let the chain hang free — Straighten it so it dangles without twists or snags; that's the only thing that stops him climbing.
5. Flip the switch — Turn him ON and watch him climb, hand over hand, to the top.

📏 One Size, Always
Climbing Claus measures 23 cm × 12 cm × 10 cm (about 9" tall, 4.7" wide, 3.9" deep). There's only one size — no mini, no jumbo. He's a handheld, ornament-scale figure, roughly the height of a soda bottle.

Hand-finished red velvet jacket and pants with white fur trim, a full white fiber beard and curled mustache, a red hat with fur band and pom-pom, a gold lamé vest, gold lamé boots, and a green satin gift sack on his back.

Yes — he plays Christmas music while he climbs. The same switch that starts him climbing also starts the music, and it keeps playing on a loop the whole time he's going up and down.

His hands grip the gold bead chain, and the switch on his chest starts him climbing. Hang the chain from a hook, beam, rail, or mantel — leave plenty of chain above him so he's got the full run to climb.

I honestly thought this was going to be one of those cute Christmas decorations that looks fun online but feels cheap in person. It ended up being way better than expected. How do I set up my Climbing Claus
Under a minute, no tools needed.
1. Unbox him
Lift Climbing Claus out along with his gold beaded cord and bell.
Unwind the cord fully — it's a full meter, so give it room.
2. Add the batteries
Open the compartment on his back and insert 3 x AA batteries
(not included). Match the + and − markings inside, then close the cover until
it clicks.
3. Hang the cord
Drape the top of the beaded cord over anything sturdy and roughly a meter
above where you want him to finish: a tree branch, a banister, a curtain rod,
a door handle, a hook. The bell hangs at the bottom and keeps the cord straight
— let it dangle free rather than resting on the floor.
4. Switch him on
Slide the switch on his back. He'll grip the beads and start pulling
himself up, hand over hand.
5. Let him do his thing
When he reaches the bead near the top of the cord, he stops, turns himself
around, and climbs back down. Then he goes again. Nothing to reset.
Additional Information:
- That bead near the top isn't a fault. It's his stop
point — it's what tells him to turn around. - Keep the cord hanging freely. If it's tangled, coiled,
or pressed against a wall, he'll struggle to grip. - If he slows down, it's almost always the batteries.
