Installation — up and running in under a minute
Uncoil gently. Unwind the whole string and lay it out along the run you want to light. The wire is fine and flexible, so unwind it rather than pulling it straight.
Start at the plug end. Work outward from the USB connector so the cable finishes at your power source — and somewhere you can still reach it, because the connector is also the control.
Shape it. The copper wire holds whatever shape you bend it into. Wrap it around a banister, a headboard, a branch, a shelf bracket or a picture frame and it stays put on its own.
Fix the flat runs. Along a wall or a window where there's nothing to wrap around, hold it in place with small adhesive hooks or a loop of clear tape every 30–50 cm.
Plug in. Push the USB connector into any standard USB-A port — a wall adapter, a power bank, a laptop, a TV, a car charger. No batteries, no wiring, no electrician.
Pick a mode. Press the button on the USB connector to cycle through the 8 lighting modes and stop on the one you want.

One 10-meter USB-powered fairy light string carrying 100 warm white LEDs, ready to use straight out of the box. The string is a fine, flexible silver copper wire, finished at one end with a standard USB-A connector. The 8-function controller is built into that connector — a single button on the housing cycles you through combination, waves, sequential, slow glow, chasing, slow fade, fade and steady on — so there's no separate battery box, no remote to lose and no inline switch dangling halfway along the cable. Just plug it into any USB port and press. Mounting hardware is not included: the copper wire holds its own shape and wraps neatly around banisters, branches, frames and shelves, so most people won't need any. For long flat runs along a wall or window, small adhesive hooks or clear tape work well.

Under a minute, no tools needed.
1. Unbox him
Lift Climbing Claus out along with his gold beaded cord and bell.
Unwind the cord fully — it's a full meter, so give it room.
2. Add the batteries
Open the compartment on his back and insert 3 x AA batteries
(not included). Match the + and − markings inside, then close the cover until
it clicks.
3. Hang the cord
Drape the top of the beaded cord over anything sturdy and roughly a meter
above where you want him to finish: a tree branch, a banister, a curtain rod,
a door handle, a hook. The bell hangs at the bottom and keeps the cord straight
— let it dangle free rather than resting on the floor.
4. Switch him on
Slide the switch on his back. He'll grip the beads and start pulling
himself up, hand over hand.
5. Let him do his thing
When he reaches the bead near the top of the cord, he stops, turns himself
around, and climbs back down. Then he goes again. Nothing to reset.
Additional Information:
- That bead near the top isn't a fault. It's his stop
point — it's what tells him to turn around. - Keep the cord hanging freely. If it's tangled, coiled,
or pressed against a wall, he'll struggle to grip. - If he slows down, it's almost always the batteries.

Yes. A motor inside grips the gold beaded cord and pulls him up hand overhand. Nothing to wind, pull or hold — you switch him on and he goes.

The cord is a full meter (about 3¼ feet), so that's his run. Hang the topof the cord roughly a meter above where you want him to finish.
